Game of Vampires Ghost Hunting Guide

 Amanda Blain

Let’s get started on the Game of Vampires Ghost Hunting Guide. This recurring event can be a little tricky, so let’s jump to figuring out how to hunt those ghosts.

What is Game Of Vampires Ghost Hunting?

This is a reoccurring event that happens first in your own server and then eventually cross-server.

You will create or join a team with two other players. These players do not have to be in your same guild or even your same server. (But you probably want to try being with your guild so you can help each other out and communicate).

What are the Ghosts?

You get 80 stamina to start hunting ghosts. When you push the button, you will have a random encounter with either:

If you can not finish the ghost off in your one attack, you can mark them so your other 2 teammates can attack them as well. You also have the option to wait 2 hours and attack it again.

Each level requires you to finish off a certain number of the ‘higher’ ranking ghosts to get to the next level. The type of ghosts and the amount are shown in the top left corner.

On this screenshot, I have killed 4 of the 12 types I need to advance. Only the middle front ghost and the top two in the back “count” towards this total of kills. The front smaller two ghosts count for points but do not advance to the next level; the middle ghost will be chest rewards or diamond purchases.

Bigger ghosts and higher levels offer more rewards. You must go up five different levels to reach the final level.

What is my attack number?

This is your power number from the main Game of Vampires game. If you want to increase it, check out our very detailed Power and Dominance Guide.

How does the Fifth Level Work In Game of Vampires Ghost Hunting?

The final area, 5 (V), includes defeating enemy players. If you get beaten by an enemy player, you’re bumped back down to the previous level and must defeat enough big ghosts to advance again. (You can’t intentionally go back to lower floors.)

What are Planchettes?

As you play, you will randomly get Planchettes. You can use Bells to claim random rewards from them, either buff for the ghost-hunting event or item rewards. Some bells are free, and some will come from a purchase in the store.

You can share extra Planchettes for teammates to open. This is useful if you don’t have Bells, and they do.

Planchettes = Chests and Bells = Keys.

Strategies for Ghost Hunting

Everyone gets a free bump to their power by using the power button and selecting the free diamond upgrade. Additional upgrades cost diamonds and only last for one day of the event. This is probably not the best strategy (unless, of course, you want to spend diamonds!).

You can Attack and Retreat.

The game doesn’t make this very obvious. If you are attacking a ghost and it is too overpowered and you don’t want to wait 2 hours, take your one hit to ensure you are getting points. You can then retreat and carry on attacking other ghosts.

You can Attack, MARK, and Retreat.

Like above, when you find the large ghost, you want to attack and get help from your teammates, attack it once, mark it, and retreat. You can continue ghost-hunting.

You can Attack, Mark, Wait, and Mark Again.

If you want to do a double whammy, attack a large ghost, mark one, and wait on that screen. Your team mates need to finish off the ghost. When it is done, you can go into the mark and mark THIS ghost again, basically allowing you to get two ghosts marked back to back rapidly and move quickly through levels.

You can spend diamonds to have three ghosts mark waiting, but this can get expensive, so try the double mark method above.

You can also spend diamonds to increase your attack damage for one day of the Event; it resets, and you can do it again each day.

Final Thoughts On Game of Vampries Ghost Hunting Guide

This recurring event certainly is not explained very well in the game, so hopefully, this game of vampires ghost hunting guide got you started in the right direction. We will continue to upgrade this as we learn new information.
